We Can Help

For most people, the hardest part of adjusting to life with HIV isn't the physical issues -- it's the emotional ones. In parts of the world where effective HIV treatment is readily available, HIV is now considered a chronic disease, much like diabetes. But unlike diabetes, much social stigma is attached to being HIV positive. Even though having HIV doesn't make you a bad person, unfortunately there are many people -most of them ignorant of the facts about HIV -- that still discriminate against individuals with HIV simply because of their status.

We here at the JACQUES Initiative invite you to hope, thrive, and engage with others. We provide a wide range of services to the community, including testing, primary care, treatment support and case management.

Our invitation to hope is essential to everything we do and everything we are. We know that despair, anger, confusion, frustration, isolation, depression, and fear of the unknown represent only the beginning of the feelings patients describe when they share the impact of their diagnosis on their outlook on life.

Here are some important things to keep in mind:

You are not alone.

The JACQUES Initiative endeavors to ensure that each individual encountered will be treated with dignity and respect regardless of creed, race, lifestyle, sexual orientation or gender identity. There are other people out there who have gone through what you’re going through.
