Timeline of The JACQUES Initiative

  • 2003: Treatment Adherence Program and Supportive Services program to help people living with HIV maintain their medical regimens
  • 2008: Initiation of Primary Medical Care Clinic and Case Management Services for corrections population and Emergency Department Testing Program
  • 2009: Expansion of Primary Care Services to uninsured, launch of Mental Health Program, Community Engagement Model and Connect 2 Care
  • 2011: Implementation of Preparing the Future HIV Educational program
  • 2013: Expansion of University of Maryland Medical Center Routine HIV Testing and Linkage to Care program to inpatient units
  • 2015: Initiation of HIV Prevention Clinic; Routine Testing and Linkage to Care program expanded to include HCV and to Midtown campus
  • 2016: Project IMPACT; Merge with sister clinics to make the Center for Infections Diseases; JI remained as a provider of support/wrap-around services; launch of Linkage to Care Plus
